Fanmour bets on surviving a ban. Obsydian bets on protecting what you post in the first place.
Fanmour auto-imports an existing link-in-bio page (Linktree, AllMyLinks, or a Reddit profile) and rebuilds it for you, then layers on an "owned audience" model: fans tap to connect via an anonymous account independent of any platform, so a ban doesn't sever the connection. Its stated monetisation is paid, end-to-end encrypted DMs — fans pay to message, the creator earns when they reply — plus a credits system that cross-promotes pages across its creator network.
We're biased — but honest.
Fanmour solves a real fear — losing your audience to a ban — by owning the follow relationship outside any platform, which Obsydian doesn't attempt. The trade-off is what it doesn't do: no watermarking, no metadata scrubbing, no leak tracing, so content itself is unprotected. Its end-to-end encrypted paid DMs are also framed as "no content to moderate" — which cuts against, not for, a platform handling paid messages, since app stores and payment processors generally expect a service to be able to detect and act on abuse. Obsydian takes the opposite approach: content protection is the product, and encryption choices (like the media vault) are made so abuse reports can still be acted on.
